THE DBC story
The DBC and consequent upgrades, are the brain child of David Lancaster. This truly was an invention born through necessity. With a huge influx of low cost Heng long tanks David saw an opportunity to build an interface that would improve the function of the Heng long tank. Sharing his idea with people on the RCU forum and receiving feedback from Forum members he was able to produce an item that was needed.
I have worked with David to enhance the enjoyment of the DBCRC2 to include new code to allow this unit to work with the Benedini TBS mini. I have recently decided to re-label the Product to BARC( Battle Armor R C) to help differentiate it from the D.I.Y DBCRC2 kits that are marketed by David. The reason for this is that as a kit the end result is only as good as the person soldering it. The BARC units are all factory soldered and tested, and as a result the dependability and construction is consistent.
This fact combined with the newly released BARC4 meant it was time to put a little distance between the DBCRC2. The BARC 4 is a Benedini encoder as much as it is anything else.
