Brownouts Be Gone
Occasionally on some installations of the DBC line people experience brownouts where the DBC resets itself and the battle system quits functioning like it should. I am not sure why this happens on some and not others, but it could be caused from weak batteries our possibly supply power being routed through wires that are too small.
If you happen to be one of the people experiencing this I have found a solution. It involves supplying the DBC with its own power, independent of the RX18.
The first thng to do is secure a second battery source. This could be a receiver type battery set up,or could be a second 7.2 volt battery back. For this illustration I am using a receiver pack I had laying on the work bench.

You now have to remove the supply voltage that the RX 18 supplies to the DBC
You will need to solder on two pins to the DBC to allow you to plug in a battery. The following pictures outline what is required.
To spruce this up a bit you might want to install a switch to the wiring harness to be able to turn off the power to the DBC. I would suggest a small rechargable battery back would be the best way to go. The DBC could handle anything to 12 volts. The onboard voltage regulator drops this input voltage down to protect the board components
